The 2016 Coca-Cola 600 was my first race working for an agency. Harold Hinson Photography took a chance on me last year, and I was happy to help out again this year.

Thursday was just a pretty standard day at the track (practice sessions and qualifying.) On Friday though, the big track is closed and The Dirt Track comes to life. Dirt racing is still very new to me, but I enjoy every minute of it.

On race day there were plenty of pre-race activities for the many fans hanging around the midway. Concerts by Big & Rich and Lynyrd Skynyrd drew some of the largest crowds I’ve ever seen at a race track.

Side note: Thank you all so much for following me on this journey. It’s been an incredible honor for the past couple of weeks being featured in NASCAR.com, ESPN.com, and the latest issue of RACER Magazine. Now for a couple of weeks catching up on work and family time, then it’s off to Gateway!
