For the fourth year in a row I had the pleasure of shooting the ARCA and fall Xfinity standalone races at Kentucky Speedway. I think this was my seventh time working at the 1.5 mile oval, which sounds crazy to me.

Kentucky is a place that I really enjoy. It was the first track over half a mile that I had ever shot.

The ARCA series was my entry point into the world of NASCAR, so it’s always great being back in that garage catching up with old friends. And standalone Xfinity (and CWTS) events are welcomed by many in the industry for the shorter weekend, smaller crowds, and less “bloat” in the schedule. Plus, Kentucky is so close to home that I get to sleep in my own bed after the race, which is ALWAYS a plus.
